Introducing: Training & Behavioral Rehabilitation
Training new behaviors and life skills based on our Equine Good Citizens Program, designed to build a strong foundation for continued success:
General handling, halter breaking and polite leading.
Respect for handler’s personal space and yielding to pressure.
Accepting full-body touch and grooming.
Standing tied in a single point of contact and in cross ties.
Calm engagement during hoof care and maintenance, including trimming or shoeing.
Bathing and clipping.
Loading and trailering.
Building confidence in new environments and situations.
Behavioral rehabilitation of avoidant or dangerous behaviors:
General misbehavior or crowding during handling or leading.
Resistance to handling of body parts (ears, poll, belly, hind feet, etc.).
Rearing and bolting.
Stall guarding and/or aggression.
Needle aversion.
Trailer loading issues.
Twenty years of raising Good Citizens can’t be wrong! Let us help you build a foundation of good behavior, either from scratch or by rehabilitating bad behaviors - your horse (and your vet) will thank you.
