Introducing: Training & Behavioral Rehabilitation

  • Training new behaviors and life skills based on our Equine Good Citizens Program, designed to build a strong foundation for continued success:

    • General handling, halter breaking and polite leading.

    • Respect for handler’s personal space and yielding to pressure.

    • Accepting full-body touch and grooming.

    • Standing tied in a single point of contact and in cross ties.

    • Calm engagement during hoof care and maintenance, including trimming or shoeing.

    • Bathing and clipping.

    • Loading and trailering.

    • Building confidence in new environments and situations.

  • Behavioral rehabilitation of avoidant or dangerous behaviors:

    • General misbehavior or crowding during handling or leading.

    • Resistance to handling of body parts (ears, poll, belly, hind feet, etc.).

    • Rearing and bolting.

    • Stall guarding and/or aggression.

    • Needle aversion.

    • Trailer loading issues.

Twenty years of raising Good Citizens can’t be wrong! Let us help you build a foundation of good behavior, either from scratch or by rehabilitating bad behaviors - your horse (and your vet) will thank you.
